 | As the major building work progresses towards the end, the house is evolving in many ways. Probably the most important addition to the house was Carl, "The Innkeeper". He's been on site for 3 months now, and is invaluable for answering e-mail, greeting visitors, and dealing with, well, all the things that need dealing with. He speaks English and French fluently, and is conversant now in Spanish. | |

He's getting to know much about life in Guanajuato, is studying Spanish with aggresive determination, and is traveling around Mexico with the Efren, the architect, on quests for hand crafted building supplies. After a few months of acclimation, he now practically scampers up the callejon, and is as trim and fit as I've seen him in 30+ years. |  | |
